KATRA, Mar 25: Continuing its drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 200 grams of marijuana from his possession.
Reports said that during surprise naka at Police Check Post Nomain, police apprehended the drug peddler when he was coming towards Katra from Domail.
The accused drug peddler was identified as Sham Lal, son of Des Raj of Kela Govindgarh, Amritsar, presently putting up near Railway Road Katra.
In this regard, a case FIR number 89/2022, under section 8/20, NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigations initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages.
