Sir,
The continuous firing on Line of Control by Pakistan Army has once again made the lives of people living near the border miserable.
The incessant firing has caused intensive damage to property and injured some civilians. The intensive firing has broken the lull that prevailed on the border since 2003.
Whenever firing breaks on the border, it makes people run for safety. The people leave their homes and hearths, cattle and fields behind. As a result, they lose their source of livelihood and become refugees overnight. It was only during last some years that they started their normal life in their respective areas. Before that, they were living a pathetic life in tattered tents where they had no access to potable water, electricity and other basic amenities of life. Their children could not go to schools as there were no arrangements for the same. These people lived a life dependent on Government doles.
Now, they are again on the verge of leaving their homes in case situation does not improve in coming day.
Yours etc…..
