JMC Commissioner directs for DPR of Nallah

JAMMU, Feb 23: JMC Commissioner, Avny Lavasa along with Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee of JMC, Raj Kumar here today visited Valmiki Colony in Ward 20 and took stock of the problems being faced by the people there.
Councellor, Rahul Kumar apprised the Commissioner about problems being faced by people of Valmiki Colony due to dirty water of Nallah entering into houses of locals.
He said that despite taking up the matter with authorities concerned the sufferings of people remained the same as nobody showed serious concern towards the issue.
Kumar informed the JMC Commissioner that due to non-laying of sewage pipes, people are facing huge hardships.
He appealed to the Commissioner to direct the authorities concerned to prepare a road-map for laying sewage pipes.
The JMC Commissioner in turn directed Executive Engineer JMC for preparing Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Nallah and sewage so that the problems of the people could be solved once for all.
She also appealed to the people of the Ward to cooperate JMC in making Jammu city clean and green.
