KISHTWAR, Feb 20: Atholi police today apprehended a bootlegger with illicit liquor from Gulabgrah area of Padder.
“On specific information regarding illegal sale of illicit liquor at Gulabgrah area of Padder, a police team led by Inspector Vikas Jasrotia, SHO police station Atholi, raided the suspected location at Gulabgrah under the supervision of SDPO Atholi Vikram Singh,” a police official said.
He said during the raid, police party recovered 89 bottles of country made liquor from the suspected location. “The accused identified as Manohar Lal son of Suram Singh of Palali Padder was detained and the recovered liquor was seized,” the official added.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 04/2022 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act was registered in police station Atholi and further investigation started.
