KATHUA, Aug 5: Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 60 nips of J&K Excise liquor from his possession at Shaheedi Chowk, here.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police party from Kathua Police Station conducted a raid at Shaheedi Chowk and arrested a person.
During frisking, police recovered 60 nips of J&K Excise liquor and arrested the drug peddler, who has been identified as Parshotam Lal alias Bukka, son of Dev Raj of Chhan Rorian, Hiranagar.
A case under FIR number 296/13 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kathua Police Station and investigation started.
