SRINAGAR, Aug 5: Two persons were killed and three others injured in different road accidents today across the Valley.
A police spokesman said a pedestrian, Shakeel Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Hassan of Chogalpora, Kulgam, was killed when a Wagon-R, JK04A/2030 on way from Shopian to Herpora, hit him near Y-Junction Mughal road office.
A motorcycle rider was killed when a Maruti-800 hit two motorcycles JK01F/7156 and Chasis number 07943 at Chattergam, resulting in injuries to both the motorcyclists. The spokesman said the injured were shifted to Chattergam hospital where one of the injured identified as Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh succumbed to his injuries.
In another accident, a motorcycle Jk01G/4204 met with an accident at Kangan, Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Uroje Ahmad Bagwan son of Mohammad Shafi and a pillion Mohammad Saleem Kaka. The injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment. The spokesman said police has registered cases in this regard.
