2 trapped in flood rescued, boy washed away

RAJOURI, Aug 5: Two persons including a PHE worker trapped in flash floods were rescued by police and civilians while a youth got washed away in district Rajouri today.
Reports said 45-year-old, daily wage employee of PHE Department, Mohd Tufail, son of Mohd Din, resident of  Danna got trapped in flash flood in Darhali river during the day. On receiving   information, the police and locals reached the spot and after two hour efforts, he was rescued by using ropes. Constable Zulfiqar and Moulvi Mushtaq Choudhary of Fatehpur did the commendable job.
Meanwhile, one Abdul Aziz and his 17 year-old son Abdul Rashid residents of Gagnote (Kandi) were going to their village on foot this evening.  On the way, they had to cross Retla Nallah. There was nearly 2-3 feet water  in the nallah. While crossing the water level suddenly started increasing. Both started washing away in the flooded nallah. While father could be saved by some locals, the boy washed  away. His body could not be traced even after long search.
