KISHTWAR, Dec 26: A drug peddler was arrested today with banned drugs in the jurisdiction of police station Kishtwar.
“A surprise naka was established at Semna Colony Kishtwar by Inspector Abid Bukhari along with his team under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Kishtwar Satish Kumar,” a police spokesman said.
He said while naka checking, one person was intercepted on noticing the suspicious movement and on his personal checking, 14 strips (140 tablets) of a banned psychotropic drug was recovered.
“The accused identified as Amir Hussain Mignoo son of Fareed Hussain Mingnoo, resident of Semna Colony (Kishtwar) was arrested on the spot while a case FIR number 277/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act registered in this connection at police station Kishtwar,” the spokesman added.
