Chaar Sahibzaade Hockey Tourney

JAMMU, Dec 26: Ajit Club and Fateh Club lifted senior and junior titles by defeating Jhujhar Club and Zorawar Club by 7 goals to 4 and 6 goals to 4 respectively in the Chaar Sahibzaade Hockey Tournament to commemorate the Safar-e-Shahadat (Martyrdom Week) of Chaar Sahibzade, here today.
The Hockey tournament was organized by Bhargav Sports Club at Bhargav Higher Secondary School Gadigarh, here.
In the final match which was played between veterans of Ajit Club and Jhujhar Club, wherein former trounced the latter by 7 goals to 4, while in 2nd final match (junior category), Fateh Club defeated Zorawar Club by a margin of 6 goals to 4.
Both the teams were introduced to the chief guest DR Sanjogita Sudan, Health Officer JMC Jammu and guest of honors including Balvinder Singh- a renowned RTI activist, Fateh Singh, Rajinder Siungh along with other special invitees Rajinder Singhj Sudan, Manjit Singh and Sharanjit Singh.
While addressing the gathering, Rajinder Singh narrated the importance of this week during which all the four ‘Sahibzade’ of Guru Gobind Singh Ji were martyred, while Balvinder Singh congratulated the organizers for organizing such an event with a special thanks to Vikas Sharma, Principal of the host School for taking keen interest in promoting sports and for making elaborate arrangements to conduct such an historical event.
PP Singh played a key role in conducting such a successful tournament.
