JAMMU, Dec 23: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Councillor, Pritam Singh, here today inaugurated drain work in Ward number 55 at Shanti Nagar, Kunjwani.
The work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 15 lakh and the drains were in dilapidated condition since long.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by it in Jammu city.
He asked the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and shun the habit of throwing garbage etc in public drains.
Singh said that the people should adopt the habit of segregating dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat and clean city.
Onkar Singh Jamwal, Rohan Gupta, Manjeet Singh, Sukh Ram, Ram Dass Gorka, Surjeet Sharma, Yashpal, Rohit and others were also present on the occasion.
