JAMMU, Oct 3: DDC Member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony appealed the Government for clearing all the pending cases in context with providing jobs under SRO 43 to kin of those who have been martyred in unprovoked firing and shelling by the Pakistani Rangers along the International Border  in R S Pura Sector.
The DDC Member said this during a small event held to hand over an  appointment letter to the sister of a border firing victim, deceased Sahil Choudhary, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Korotana Khurd, tehsil Suchetgarh, district Jammu under SRO 43 of 1994.
Tony said that like Preeti Choudhary, sister of Sahil, there are several others who are waiting for this moment to get an appointment letter on compassionate grounds. He said that Preeti has been given a Class-IV job in the Animal Husbandry Department, securing her future to a large extent. He demanded that the Government should expedite other cases of similar nature to provide justice to left over kin of the border firing victims.
The DDC member said that justice delayed is justice denied; therefore the Government should not adopt the dilly-dallying policy in the matter and should give nod to other cases of similar nature. He referred to similar cases of Chandu Chak area and demanded that the same should also be given priority to ensure justice to the people who faced the wrath of the enemy nation for no fault of theirs. He said that the Government should take up all the cases on priority and ensure that no genuine person remains devoid of the rights which he or she is entitled.
The DDC member expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg and SDM RS Pura Ram Lal for expediting the Preeti’s case and hoped that such cases should not be delayed in near future.
