RAJOURI, Oct 2: At least three persons were killed and four others injured in a road accident near the Line of Control in Thandi Kassi area of Nowshera, in Rajouri district late last night.
Official sources said that the accident took place at around 11.30 pm last night when a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK11C/0595, which was on way from Lam area to Thandi Kassi near Rajouri, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Thandi Kassi.
He said that three passengers lost their lives in the accident including two brothers -Mohammad Owais and Mohammad Iftar, sons of Zakir Ahmed and Mohammad Mumtaz, son of Mohd Siddiq, hailing from Lam area.
The four injured have been identified as Mohammad Sajjad, Sadiq Ahmed, Zaheer Ahmed and Aftab Ahmed of the same area. They were removed to Rajouri hospital.
Nowshera Police has taken cognizance of the matter, the official said.
