Jammu, Sept 28: The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) and extended deputation of SM Sahai, Additional Secretary NSCS for one year beyond 23.9.2021 or untill further orders.
Sahai is 1987 batch IPS officer of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir Cadre (now AGMUT). He is in the rank of DGP.
Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today ordered posting of Amit Kumar, an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, who was earlier posted as DIG Central Kashmir Range, in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
He will be on deputation to the NIA for an initial period of five years.
Amit Kumar was 2006 batch IPS officer of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre and presently the AGMUT.
Excelsior had exclusively reported that he is proceeding on the Central deputation.
Meanwhile, Rahul Malik, another IPS officer of previous J&K Cadre (2008 batch), who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post.
