KISHTWAR, Aug 25: Police saved two precious lives by preventing them to commit suicide.
One lady and one minor boy (name withheld) were rescued from Kandni and Chehrar areas of Kishtwar district when they were about to commit suicide.
PCR Kishtwar received telephonic information that a lady from village Hunjalla with the intentions to end her life has left toward Bhadarkoot in a disturbed mental state. The apparel description was shared by the caller and accordingly CCTV unit of PCR was activated. The lady was traced moving below Girinagar and stopped by the alert police personnel there. The kin of the lady later on took her to their home after due counselling.
In another incident, a minor boy hailing from Saroor who was about to jump into river at Kandni bridge to commit suicide an alert police personnel sensing the situation caught hold of him. The boy was found in emotional state of trauma and has later on handed over to his family after enquiry and counselling.
Action under law will follow after the outcome of enquiry into the matter.
