JAMMU, Aug 12: The causal workers of DD Kendra Jammu are facing miserable condition and worst position. These workers working for three decades continuously have contributed a lot in building the Doordarshan Kendra Jammu as they entered and joined this Kendra at the young age and are at the verge of retirement. After serving it for three decades nearly still they are getting the meager wages and that too not in time.
These employees while narrating their tale of woes said that the much talked about regularization policy remained a dream for them and no justice has been given to them so far though they gave their valuable life to the Kendra but all in vain. The condition of their families is worst as they are facing many problems in the pandemic time. Among the 39 hapless workers some of them are at the verge of starvation as it is very difficult for them to make their both ends meet on the meager wages.
They made an appeal to I&B Ministry either to regularise them at the earliest or announce an economic package for them instead of harassing them unnecessarily.
