Srinagar, July 28: Police in Baramulla today said to have arrested 3 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.
A police party from Police Station Kunzer during routine patrolling at village Lolpora apprehended three gamblers.
“They have been identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather son of Ab Khalid Rather resident of Waripora Bangil, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie son of Ab Rehman Ganie and Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie son of Ghulam Nabi Ganie, both residents of Hardaboora,” police said.
It said that the officers have seized stake money of ?12,500/- and playing cards from the gamblers.
“They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said, adding that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
