JAMMU, June 28: Bagh-e-Bahu Police arrested a notorious drug peddler along with pistol, live rounds and heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by SHO Inspector Kirti Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02BB-0999.
During checking, police team recovered pistol, 5 live rounds and 20 grams heroin from the possession of the notorious drug peddler driving the vehicle.
The arrested person was identified as Ashwani Kumar alias Bunty, son of Mewa Ram, a resident of Press Morh Bahu Fort District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 55/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar.
