JAMMU, June 3: Jammu University Council, the apex decision making body of the varsity has been reconstituted for the triennial period 2021-24.
Besides the nine Ex-officio members, including the Chancellor (Lt Governor), Pro-Chancellor (Chief Minister), Education Minister and others, the new Council shall be comprising Dean Faculty of Law, JU, Dean Faculty of Medical Science (Principal of GMC Jammu), Principal GDC Samba, President JUTA and President College Teachers Association, Jammu Wing.
Two nominees of the Chancellor are; Prof Alok Kumar Rai, Vice-Chancellor of Lucknow University and Prof A K Kaul, Department of Sociology, Banaras Hindu University.
