KATHUA, Apr 29: District Police Kathua today recovered Charas in the jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station (PS) and two accused were arrested along with the contraband.
On the directions of SSP Kathua, R.C. Kotwal, a team of Police Station Kathua under the supervision of DySP, Bisham Dubey and headed by SHO, PS Kathua laid down a Naka at canal crossing near GDC Kathua. During naka checking the team noticed few suspicious persons who were asked to stop for checking. Sensing danger, they tried to escape but was nabbed by the police party.
On their Physical search, approximately 200 grams of Charas was recovered from their possession. They were identified as Balvinder Singh Jasrotia Son of Chaman Singh Jasrotia of Janglot and his accomplice Young Bahadur son of Jagdev Singh of Janglot along with their vehicle bearing Registration Number JK08G-8521 was seized on spot.
A case FIR No. 209/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in the concerned Police Station and further investigation is under process.
