JAMMU, June 5: Reiterating its demand for removal of Director The Business School and Registrar Jammu University, Jammu Youth Forum has taken serious note of the Vice-Chancellor’s approach of rewarding inefficient officers and taking no action against the corrupt.
Addressing a press-conference here today, NYF president of JU unit, Vikram Kumar alleged that despite unprecedented delay in declaration of examination results, the Vice-Chancellor rewarded the Controller Examination by posting him as Registrar while Director TBS is still being allowed to continue as head despite several irregularities in   The Business School.
“Director of The Business School is indulged in financial irregularities and anti-students policies while the VC is acting like a mute spectator to this whole drama,” he alleged and appealed the Chancellor N N Vohra to look into the matter and hold an inquiry into the mismanagement in  The Business School.
He listed alleged irregularities in The Business School and said that favouritism and nepotism were at galore in admissions as well as placement in the institute. Such irregularities bring a bad name to the entire University and hence immediate action should be taken against the Director, he added.
The NYF leader lamented that despite Governor N N Vohra’s repeated direction to the VC for enhancing credibility of the University, the latter has failed to take image building initiatives.
Among those who were present in the press-conference, included Sanjay Thakur, Ajit Kumar, Kapil Singh and Sunny.
