JAMMU, Apr 1: A youth was killed when the scooty he was riding was hit by truck in Channi Himmat area today evening.
However, acting swiftly, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat arrested the accused truck driver.
The deceased has been identified as Shamsher Kumar (25), son of Baldev Raj of Sunjwan District Jammu.
The body of the victim has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for post-mortem.
Acting swiftly, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Karan Chalotra arrested the truck driver, who was identified as Razak, son of Noor Mohammad, a resident of Jhajjar Kotli.
A case under FIR Number 43/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
