JAMMU, Mar 30: A new born male baby was found abandoned today in Akhnoor area and later he died in Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital, Jammu.
According to the police reports, some locals this morning informed police station Akhnoor telephonically that a new born male baby is lying abandoned in bushes along Poonch Road near Court Complex in Akhnoor area.
On getting the information, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the baby, whose part of the face was bitten by dogs, to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor, from where doctors referred the baby to SMGS Hospital, Jammu. However, the baby died in the afternoon.
The body of the baby was shifted to mortuary room of the Hospital while Akhnoor police had taken cognizance of the matter.
