REASI, May 14: District Development Commissioner, Reasi Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today placed under suspension three officers/officials of Revenue and Power Development Department on various grounds.
Assistant Executive Engineer, Power Development Department, Chamail Singh was placed under suspension for remaining absent from station frequently. He was suspended after repeated complaints from Superintending Engineer, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Executive Engineer apart from complaints of various deputations from Mahore. Executive Engineer EM&RE has been asked to make alternate arrangement for ensuring power supply in Mahore.
In another order, the DDC has suspended Shakeel Hussain, Junior Assistant and Mohd Hafeez, Orderly of Tehsil Office Mahore for fraudulently drawing an amount of Rs 40,000 from account of Tehsildar Mahore, Mohammed Sayeed when the later had preceded on leave for a day.
Tehsildar detected the fraud following which these officials were suspended. An FIR has also been lodged in Mahore Police Station in this regard.
The DDC has issued strict guidelines to officials for remaining present at their headquarters and redressing public grievances effectively.
