The protestors assembled near the Shiv temple and raised slogans against ERA and PWD for not completing the construction work of the lane which is under construction for the last three years.
They also blocked the main road for some time and brought the vehicular movement of the city to standstill which was later restored after the intervention of the police officers.
Speaking on the occasion, one of the resident said that the said lane is under construction for the last three years due to which the inhabitants and the shopkeepers of the area are facing lots of problems.
He added that dust being emitted by the lane has badly affected the business of the shopkeepers as most of their products gets waste due to dust while in the rainy season the water logging restrains the movement of customers towards their shops.
He warned of dire consequences, if the execution agencies fails to construct the lane at the earliest.
