Baddi University collaborates with IBM

JAMMU, May 12: Baddi University has collaborated with IBM to offer joint B Tech Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) program with industry vertical & technology specializations through their Solan, Himachal Pradesh campus.
As part of the partnership, IBM will design and deliver the new set of technology & domain courses and train the faculty on the same. The university will engage with students and deliver these courses as well as provide the marketing & infrastructure support to run these programmes.
Vice Chancellor, Dr Lovi Raj Gupta, Baddi University said, “With this initiative Baddi University, along with IBM is bringing together what is best for the students and the industry.”
The program has been extended to their existing students and offered to the upcoming batches of B Tech CSE students amounting to nearly 1000 students over the next 4 years.
“This initiative will equip the students  at Baddi University  to adapt to the dynamics in the industry and drive technology and business innovation,” said Subram Natarajan, Executive – Systems Solutions Center, Deep Computing and STG Education, IBM India South Asia.
The list of programs that will be offered by Baddi University in collaboration with IBM, in a phased manner, include; B Tech  CSE with specialization in Cloud Computing and Virtualization,  B Tech  CSE with specialization in Open Source Software and  Open Standards, B Tech  CSE with Specialization in Telecom Informatics, B Tech  CSE with Specialization in Business Analytics and Optimization and B Tech  CSE with Specialization in Mainframe Technology.
