ANTF arrests 2 drug peddlers with around 10 kgs hashish

JAMMU, Jan 2: Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) arrested two drug peddlers with around 10 kilograms of hashish.
According to SP ANTF Vinay Sharma, acting over specific information, ANTF teams laid check points on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and intercepted two trucks bearing Registration Numbers JK02AG-0865 and JK02R-6765.
During checking, police team recovered 9.620 kilograms of hashish from the vehicles and arrested two drug peddlers, SP said, adding that the arrested persons were identified as Junaid Shah, son of Nissar Shah and Liaqat Hussain, son of Mushtaq Hussain, both residents of Kot Dhara, District Rajouri.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered and ANTF is investigation their forward and backward linkages of the arrested persons.
It is pertinent to mention here that ANTF yesterday also arrested a drug peddler along with 5.80 kilograms of hashish.
