Ref news item ‘No qualification bar for feeding services officials inducted in KAS? DE May 9.
If the process of inducting officers in KAS continues to be in the similar fashion as has been reported, it will surely bring a bad name to this prestigious service. The process should be stopped at once as it would have serious adverse effects on the much sought after services in the State. Those who get inducted into the service after burning mid night oil and making sacrifices will get demoralised. Besides, it will put brakes on their advancement through promotions. And as a consequences the much prestigious service will lose its sheen which in no case is good for the State. The presence of these promotees will only bring bad name to this cadre.
The Government must check the entry of these elements or promotees without losing further time. Will the Government act or will remain a mute spectator to this practice.
