Premi Romani gets Bihar Urdu Academy award

JAMMU, May 9: Dr Premi Romani has been honoured with Bihar Urdu Academy award for the year 2012-13 fir his book “Tavazun”.
The book deals with different aspects of contemporary Urdu Literature. Premi Romani is an eminent Urdu writer who has authored over one and half dozen books on Urdu Language and Literature.
The book carries write ups on development of Urdu drama in J&K state, Sadet Hassan Manto-the doyen of Urdu short story, Mirza Galib, national unity, Brij Premi and Kashmir, life and works of Maikash Kashmiri, Hakim Manzoor-the poet of modern times, Mazhar Imam as a poet and Jagan Nath Azad’s prose writing etc. The artists like Pattrus Bokhari and Kanya Lal Kapoor have also been discussed in the book.
Premi Romani has earlier received number of awards from different Urdu academies and literary organizations.
