Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Dec 23: Nagrota and Udhampur Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck.
During checking, police team rescued 13 bovine animals from the truck and seized it, while the smuggler(s) managed to escape.
Meanwhile, a team from Udhampur Police Station led by SHO Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Udhampur Dr Rohit Chadgal laid a naka at Jakhani and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK20A 4418.
During search of the vehicle, police team rescued 15 bovine animals and arrested one person, who was identified as Mohammad Mushtaq, son of Abdul Rahim of Talwara, District Reasi.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Nagrota and Udhampur Police Stations and investigation started.
