HAMIRPUR, HP, May 5:
Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal today dubbed the Congress party ‘a government of liars and corrupt elements.’
This government had lost all the norms and was promoting corruption and surrounded by corrupt elements, he said while addressing people during the jan-jagran campign of the party here last night and today.
Prof Dhumal demanded that the President interfere in the functioning of the central government to save the Indian polity from going into the ditch.
He said that corruption was rampant all over and the Congress leaders and workers were promoting it in order to win the next Lok Sabha election with money power. But the people were wise enough not to fall prey to their evil designs, he added.
Mr Dhumal gave a call to the party workers to fan out among the masses and expose the Congress for its corrupt practices.
The main aim of the Congress was to mint money and to forget about the people and promises given to them during the elections.
He gave a clarion call to the party workers to be prepared for the next Lok Sabha elections which could be held any time as the Congress was short of majority in the Lok Sabha and wanted to get rid of its allies.
He said that the BJP-led NDA was united and would take rein of the nation once the elections were held. (UNI)
