SRINAGAR, Dec 1: A week-long camp commenced today at the BSNL office, Exchange Road, Srinagar for all the pensioners of Department of Telecom (DoT) and BSNL.
The camp is being organized by the Office of Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Jammu and Kashmir Circle to ensure timely generation of life certificates and on-spot settlement of pensioners’ grievances, if any. The camp is also aimed at providing awareness to the pensioners regarding the newly developed Pension Disbursement platform for DoT/BSNL employees called SAMPANN.
The week-long camp would facilitate the pensioners in generating life certificates through Jeevan Pramaan platform so as to ensure uninterrupted pension disbursement in their respective accounts. The event inaugurated this morning by R K Jaiswal GM, BSNL, will continue to operate till 5th December 2020.
Office of CCA is a field office of Department of Telecom that is responsible for budgeting of pension expenditure and authorization of retirement benefits for DoT, BSNL and MTNL employees.
In addition to the statutory functions of Pension/GPF accounting, the Office of CCA also performs revenue functions (including collection of License Fee and Spectrum Usage Charges from Telecom service providers and assessment and collection of License fee from Internet Service Providers), and Universal Service Obligation Fund disbursement to ensure last mile coverage of Telecom facilities.
