RAJOURI, May 1: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan today said that the Government would establish 400 new Sub-Health Centers during this financial year in the State, adding that in this regard the Central Government has in principle agreed to provide funds under National Rural Health Mission to the State.
Addressing a public meeting at border village Kakora, the Health Minister said that preference would be given to the areas located far away from the nearest health institutions, while opening the new health centers. He said a Sub-Health Center would also be opened in Kakora village.
The Minister said that all-round development of hilly and border areas has received focused attention of the Government during last over 4 years. He said at present almost all the remote and hilly areas have basic facilities of education, healthcare, drinking water, road connectivity and power supply. He said the areas lacking these facilities are getting special attention and crores of rupees are being spent to improve and upgrade basic amenities to bring these at par with other areas.
Interacting with several deputations of the area, the Minister reaffirmed uniform development of all the areas of the district and assured that no injustice would be done to any area of the district on the developmental front. He assured the people that all their genuine developmental needs would be met in a phased manner. He also impressed upon the officers to solve the people’s genuine problems and developmental needs on priority.
