RAJOURI, Nov 11: Two persons were injured in a road accident in Thanamandi area while an elderly man made attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Manjakote area this evening.
Official sources said that two brothers were injured when their Eco van, bearing registration number, JK-11D/5140 rolled down into a small gorge near Manyal this evening. The boys were on way to Thanamandi town when the mishap took place at around 6 pm.
Both the injured youth were shifted to Thanamandi Hospital. They were identified as Mehfooz Khan (25) and Sakinder Khan, sons of Yaqoob Khan, residents of Manyal. The police has taken cognizance.
Meanwhile, 65-years-old Khadam Hussain, son of Mohd Sher, resident of Galhuti in Manjakote, became serious after he allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff at his residence at around 7.15 pm today. He was rushed to PHC Manjakote where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital, Rajouri. Some family feud was said to be the reason behind the incident. Police was investigating into the matter.
