JAMMU, Aug 16: Five persons were injured in separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to a police official, a speeding truck hit a car last night at Gangyal, resulting into severe injuries to Mohd Javed (30) son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Khara (Bari Brahmana), who was travelling in the car. The injured man was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for medical treatment.
A speeding car rolled down the road at Sua Number 1 last night. In the mishap, car driver Sukhpal Singh (18) son of Dayal Singh, resident of Bathera (Akhnoor), received injuries and was shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
A mishap also occurred at Greater Kailash, where a car hit a motorcycle. In the mishap, Bike rider, Pritam Singh (47) son of Baisakhi Ram, his wife Kamaljeet Kour and child, Jagjot Singh (3.5 years), all resident of Gurdaspur (at present Satwari, Jammu) got injured. The trio was shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
In all the three cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
