Man injured in LPG cylinder explosion

POONCH, Apr 18: A middle-aged man was seriously injured after a cylinder in his kitchen caught fire and later exploded in a locality here today.
The mishap took place at around 10.30 am in Mohalla Sain, when the family was busy in cooking. Suddenly, the LPG cylinder kept in the kitchen started leakage and it caught fire. The woman ran away for safety while Qarar Hussain Shah resident of Mohalla Sain, rushed inside to douse the flames. The people gathered there and they informed fire tender. The cylinder then exploded with big bang and the fire spread.
Mr Hussain who was trying to control the fire nearby, received serious injuries and was rushed to the local hospital at Poonch. The doctors provided him first aid and then referred him to Govt Medical College Hospital, Jammu. His condition is said to be critical.
The firemen with tenders reached there and then controlled the fire which had been spreading after cylinder blast. Some house hold goods were destroyed in the fire incident. The firemen and the local prevented from the fire from spreading in the adjoining thickly populated locality.
