98 NCC cadets donate blood in GMC Jammu

Jammu, Sept 1: National Cadet Corps, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in association with Government Medical College (GMC) and Red Cross Society, Jammu today organised a blood donation camp at Blood Bank GMC, Jammu.
The camp was inaugurated by Major General Ranjan Mahajan, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education, who himself was a NCC cadet, was present during the event to motivate the cadets and further the noble cause.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General Ranjan Mahajan, appreciated the volunteer cadets and said that during these unprecedented times of Covid-19 affecting the world, hospitals are running short of blood and NCC has organised this blood donation camp as an effort to support the Blood Banks and society as a whole. He lauded the volunteer NCC Cadets and urged everyone to get associated with such noble causes. The Blood donation Camp witnessed good response and 98 Cadets participated in the Camp.
Other dignitaries present during the event were Brig Satish Kumar, Group Commander Jammu, Vinod Malhotra,Hony Secy Regional Red Cross,Commanding Officers and others.
