RAJOURI, Sept 6: With the arrest of seven persons and recovery of huge quantity of stolen property, the police today claimed to have solved nine theft cases in Nowshera sector.
A senior police official while giving details said that the police in Nowshera arrested two persons under case FIR No. 211/2020 U/S 457/380/413/IPC (PS Nowshera) and recovered five stolen mobile phones from them.
They were identified as Aftar Hussain, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Danthi, Tehsil Kalakote and Zaffar Hussain, son of Abdul Hussain from Karadh, in Koteranka.
One person was arrested under case FIR No. 03/2021 and FIR No. 04/2021 under section 379/IPC by Nowshera police. A Motorcycle No. JK11B-6013 and Scooty No. JK11C-4184 were seized from his possession. Accused namely Amjad Mehmood, son of Mohd Zaffer hailing from Lah village in Tehsil Thanamandi was arrested and sent to Judicial custody.
Three bikes and a tractor trolley were recovered from one person in case FIR No. 09/2021 U/S 379/IPC, case FIR NO. 10/2021 under section 379/IPC, Case FIR NO. 13/2021 under section 379/IPC at Police Station Nowshera. The recovery included- Motor-cycles JK11-7512, JK11C-8558, JK02X- 1168 & Tractor Trolley.
Accused namely Basharat Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Koteranka was arrested and sent to Judicial custody.
Three persons were nabbed in case FIR No. 182/2021 U/S 457/380/IPC PS Nowshera and FIR NO. 183/2021 under section 457/380/IPC PS Nowshera and huge quantity of stolen goods were recovered from them. They were identified as Parveen Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Ravi Kumar from Bihar and are in Police custody.
From their possession, the police recovered two LED TVs of 32 inch screen, 2 Inverters (LIVFAST), Battery LIVFAST 200 AH, Gas Stove (SURYA), Lunch Box, Iron (INDO), Hair Straightner, Beauty Brush set, Fashion colour make up 02; Wall Clock (AJANTA) 02, Digital Satellite Box (GRAND SKY), DTH box (ATLANTA), Extension (Asia Power), HP gas Cylinders – 03; Sewing Machine (POOJA), WIRE 1.5 mm, two box and one Half Box and some other electric goods.
