JAMMU, Sept 6: Teams have been selected for upcoming 3rd Under-23 Senior Freestyle, Greco Roman Style and Women National Wrestling Championship by Wrestling Association of J&K during a daylong trials, held at J&K Police Wrestling Hall Gulshan Ground, here today.
About 80 wrestlers all over the districts of the J&K participated. The upcoming championship is scheduled to be held at Amethi Uttar Pradesh from September 16 to 19.
Ajit Malhotra (57 kg), Saleem (61 kg), Keshav Singh (65 kg), Munir Hussain (70 kg), Ashok Singh (74 kg), Gulshan Chib (79 kg), Ranjeet Singh (86 kg), Abishek Manhas (92 kg), Aman Kumar (97 kg) and Deepak Kumar (125 kg) were selected for Freestyle, whereas Anil Singh (55 kg), Mohd Hussain (60 kg,), Sumit Gangla (63 kg), Mohd Gulam Sawar (67 kg), Ibrar Hussain (72 kg), Gourav (77 kg), Jacob (82 kg), Vireshwar Bhardwaj (87 kg) and Kanav Sharma (97 kg) have been selected for Greco Roman style.
The trials were conducted under the overall supervision of Dheeraj Sharma, chairman technical committee of the Association, whereas Shaktish Kumar Manager MA Stadium was present during the trials as an observer nominated by J&K Sports Council.
