9 passengers injured as bus turns turtle

KATHUA, Apr 1: Nine passengers were injured, when the bus they were travelling in, skidded off the road and turned turtle on flyover near Hiranagar, this evening.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK20-6509 was on its way to Jammu from Amritsar, when the driver lost control over the bus and it turned turtle on fly over near Hiranagar, causing injuries to 9 passengers.
After getting information, a team from Hiranagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Tilak Raj rushed to the spot and with the help of locals rescued the injured persons.
The injured persons were rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Hiranagar in police and other vehicles, from where five injured persons were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Deepak, son of late Krishan Lal of Krishna Nagar Jammu, his wife Pooja Devi, Mamta, daughter of Krishan Lal of Krishna Nagar Jammu, Gulam Mohammad, son of Abdul Aziz of Ramban, Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz of Ramban, Latif Hussain, son of Abdul Aziz of Ramban, Parshotam, son of Parmanand of Badyal Brahmana Jammu, Rajinder Singh, son of Hira Lal of Gandoh district Doda and Simran Samyal, son of Rajinder Singh of Gandoh district Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Hiranagar and investigation started.
