9 of a family injured in LPG cylinder explosion

UDHAMPUR, June 23: Around nine members of a family suffered burn injuries when a domestic LPG cylinder exploded due to gas leakage in a house in Pancheri area, here late this evening.
The incident took place around 2000 hours in Lander Barinda, Tehsil, Pancheri when the gas leakage triggered LPG cylinder explosion and short circuit, which caused fire in the double storey house of one Mansa Ram.
In the fire incident, nine persons of the family suffered burn injuries when they were trying to douse the fire. Five of the injured were shifted to the Primary Health Centre Lander and were later referred to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured referred to DH Udhampur were identified as Karnail Chand, Sunaku, Rakesh Kumar and Sindo Devi, all residents of Lander Barinda, Pancheri.
