9 Ministers of Modi Govt apprise Shah of ongoing work of their respective ministries

NEW DELHI, Aug 17:
Nine Senior Ministers of the Modi Government today apprised BJP President Amit Shah of the ongoing work of their respective ministries at a meeting held at the party headquarters here, ahead of the likely Cabinet reshuffle this month.
Senior party leaders and Ministers like Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goel, JP Nadda, Narendra Singh Tomar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Manoj Sinha and Arjun Ram Meghwal apprised Mr Shah about the ongoing work of their ministries.
Shah asked the Ministers to strengthen the party organisation in the areas where it is weak, sources said.
Apart from other BJP leaders, party MP and former Union Home Secretary RK Singh was also present in the meeting.
It is believed that in the proposed Cabinet expansion, Ministers who are having MoS (Independent Charge) like Piyush Goel, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Manoj Sinha and MoS for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal could be made Cabinet Ministers. Shah is scheduled to arrive in Bhopal for a three-day visit to Madhya Pardesh tonight. The BJP President is scheduled to address a joint meeting of party office-bearers and lawmakers tomorrow.
The meeting would be attended by central office-bearers, state core group members, state officers, state spokespersons, MPs, MLAs, district president, divisional organisation secretaries, morchas’ presidents and other office-bearers.  (UNI)
