DODA, Aug 17: Police rescued seven bovine animals and arrested a person.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team from Doda police station laid a naka at Akramabad and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK14D-4932.
During checking, police rescued seven bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Mohammad Shafiq, son of Ghulam Padder of Akramabad. Due to darkness, two more bovine smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 172/17 under Section 188 ROC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Doda police station and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
Police team led by DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and assisted by SHO Doda Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of Additional SP Doda Vinay Kumar and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
