Srinagar, Nov 9: Kashmir reported nine more COVID-19 related deaths today, taking the toll in Jammu and Kashmir due to Coronavirus to 1545 while 307 tested positive for the infection, increasing the overall tally of the positive cases in J&K to 99352.
Six of the COVID deaths took place in Srinagar and one each from Baramulla and Kupwara.
A 95-year-old woman from Jawahar Nagar, a 70-year-old man from Bota Kadal, an 85-year-old woman from Lalbazar, a 70-year-old man from Syedpora Srinagar, a 61-year-old man from Gogji Bagh and a 55-year-old man from Natipora died of COVID today.
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 1545 in J&K including 1025 in Valley.
Srinagar district with 381 deaths topped the number of deaths by Coronavirus followed by Baramulla 149, Budgam 94, Pulwama 83, Kupwara 75, Anantnag 76, Kulgam 48, Bandipora 47, Shopian 35 and Ganderbal 35.
And in Kashmir, 307 persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the overall tally of the positive cases in J&K to 99352.
Srinagar reported 161 cases, Baramulla 33, Budgam 18, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 18, Anantnag 17, Bandipora 13, Ganderbal 31, Kulgam 7 and Shopian 4.
As per officials figures, 20,574 positive cases including 381 deaths and 18,766 recoveries are from Srinagar, 6,526 including 150 deaths and 5,474 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,276 including 5,885 recoveries and 95 deaths are from Budgam, 4,784 including 4,530 recoveries and 83 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,688 including 75 deaths and 4,177 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,327 including 4,059 recoveries and 75 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,157 cases including 3,930 and 46 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,767 including 3,474 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,528 including 2,392 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,263 including 2,137 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.
The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,565 including 4,043 from Kashmir division.
With 564 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 92,245 which is 92.84 percent of the total cases.
Out of 2, 505, 835 samples processed, 2,406,483 have tested negative and 99,352 positive. Among them, 5,565 are active, 92,245 persons have recovered and 1,542 persons died
Moreover, they said, 564 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 385 from Kashmir valley.
