KATHUA, Feb 10: The police seized a truck along with nine bovine animals near Seiswan in Hiranagar but the driver and smugglers managed to escape giving a slip to policemen.
Official sources said that a police party led by Sub Inspector Shamsher Lal, Incharge Police Post Chadwal, under the supervision by SDPO Border Dy SP Diwakar Singh laid a naka at Seiswan Morh last mid night and intercepted a truck bearing No. JK02AC/ 9811. The police party seized the truck along with 9 bovine animals but the driver and smugglers are said to have escaped from the spot. A case FIR No. 28/2015 has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rajbagh.
