SAMBA, Mar 10: A live 81 mm old rusted mortar shell was recovered at village Abtal Camp from a under construction street this afternoon by the labourers while they were filling the mulba in a tractor.
The shell was found in front of the house of Paras Ram, S/o Tej Ram and a resident of Abtal Camp. The shell was later taken by 14 Punjab Army into its custody.
The SHO Ramgarh Police Station also visited the spot and later the shell was defused by Bomb Defusing Squad (BDS)Samba.
