RAMNAGAR, Sept 20: In a shocking incident, an eight year old girl was allegedly raped by man in a village, under the jurisdiction of Ramnagar Police Station, here last evening.
Reports said that the minor girl was raped by the 35-year old man who was not known to her. The incident took place at village Baryalta in Ramnagar tehsil when the victim was on way to her maternal grandmother’s house from Kulwanta market, around 4 pm, yesterday.
Immediately after a complaint in this regard was lodged by parents of the victim, Police swung into action and after a series of raids by SHO Ramnagar, SI Sanjay Raina, the accused was arrested within hours.
The accused has been identified as Subash (35), son of Sukhdev, a resident of village Kogar Marh, presently putting up at village Padhraka in Kulwanta, Ramnagar. A case Fir number 134/17 under Section 376 RPC has been registered in this connection at Police Station Ramnagar.
