KISHTWAR, Oct 17: Eight Village Defence Committee (VDC) members of Khori Saroor area were injured when a vehicle, they were travelling in, overturned on the Doda-Kishtwar National Highway at Hasti, about 9 kilometers from here.
On getting information about the accident, police and civil administration swung into action and launched rescue operation. All the injured VDC members were rushed to District Hospital Kishtwar and their condition was stated to be out of danger.
The VDC members had come to Kishtwar Police Station for routine verification.
The injured have been identified Vijay Nath, son of Bihari Nath, Bihari Nath, son of Prem Nath, Ramesh Nath, son of Puran Nath, Hari Lal, son of Amar Chand, Bansi Lal, son of Amar Chand, Jagdish Raj, son of Vidya, Kanchan Nath, son of Daya Nath and Swami Raj, son of Jia Lal, all the residents of Khori.
