SAMBA, June 17: Eight Vaishno Devi pilgrims were injured when their vehicle met with an accident near Vijaypur on way from Sonepat to holy town Katra.
The accident took place when the Scorpio vehicle of the pilgrims rolled down from Devak Bridge near Vijaypur on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway early this morning.
The vehicle bearing registration number HR-06R/7206 was carrying 8 passengers, who
were identified as Vinod Kumar, his brother Neeraj Kumar, Asha Rani wife of Neeraj Kumar, Monika daughter of Surinder Singh, Sartaz son of Vinod Kumar, Jagdish Kumar son of Vinod Kumar and Baldev Singh son of Haldi Ram.
The injured were shifted to Accidental Hospital Vijaypur where three of them were referred to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition.
