DODA, May 15: Eight passengers were injured, when the mini-bus they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down near Jijot area, this evening.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-3110 was on its way from Doda to Hanch, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell down near Jijot area, resulting into injuries to eight passengers.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Doda, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Mohammad Asdullah, Shaheena Begum, wife of Mohammad Shaban, Ghulam Qadir, son of Mohammad Asdullah, Zahida Begum, wife of Liaqat Ali, Rabia Banoo, daughter of Mohammad Shaban, Abdul Aziz, son of Jamloo Dar, Ghulam Hussain, son of Ahamdoo and Haq Nawaz, son of Abdul Rashid, all resident of Malna.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
