JAMMU, Dec 24: District administration Jammu today removed encroachment from prime state land of 8 kanal situated along Natioanl Highway in Nagrota tehsil.
As per the reports, the land measuring 8 kanals under Khasra number 899 at village Panjgrian (Nagrota) was encroached by Manjeet Kour (69) wife of Nanak Singh of New Plot (Jammu), Jaspal Singh (65) son of late Rangil Singh of Amphalla, Sarabjit Singh (45) son of late Surjit Singh of Amphalla, Manmohan Singh (72) son of late Bachan Singh of Rehari Colony (presently residing at Channi Himmat) and Hardeep Singh (48) son of late Lal Chand of Ward Number 13, VIjaypur (Samba).
Taking suo motu cognizance of the encroachment on the prime state land, an anti-encroachment drive was held today on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa and executed by Tehsildar Nagrota Babu Ram Choudhary and his team comprising Noor Mohammad (Girdawar) and Deepak Kumar (Patwari) with the help of a police team led by Incharge Police Post Jagti Bal Krishan Sharma.
“This drive shall continue in near future and every inch of State land shall be evicted from the clutches of encroachers. A strategy in this regard has been devised and all illegal occupants on state land shall be evicted very soon,” said Tehsildar Nagrota.
